Elite College Prospect Camp

Designed for advanced players interested in attending American University or another high level university soccer program. They will be exposed to the next level of competition and coaching as they prepare for their college experience. The staff will consist of coaches from elite college programs across the U.S. In addition to on the field training, there will be classes in conditioning and preparation for the college recruiting process.

Comprehensive Skills Camp

Designed for players who want to learn the fundamental skills of soccer. Emphasis on correct technique is maximized by individual instruction. The learning environment will be enhanced by small-sided games, providing more touches on the ball. The newest teaching and coaching methods are presented in a clear and concise manner. Campers will be grouped with players of similar age and ability. Enrollment is limited and these sessions have sold out in the past.

Check-In / Check-Out

Check in starts at 10:00 a.m. and ends at 12:00 p.m. on the first day of camp. Closing ceremonies end at 12:00 p.m. on the final day of camp.

Residential and Extended Day Camper

Participants have the option of attending as extended day campers [commuters] or as residents [full live-in campers]. Residential campers reside in dorm rooms and are under the supervision of the staff. Commuters are actively involved in all aspects of the camp, but are dropped off and picked up from camp on a daily basis.

Shuttle service to each of the three Washington, DC area airports will be provided by the camp on the first and last day for residents.

Housing

All residential campers and camp staff will be housed in American University campus dorms. Rooms will be double or triple occupancy with roommates assigned at random unless a request is made in advance. Please make any roommate requests on the application or by email.

Cancellation Policies

Deposits for both Extended Day and Residential Campers are non-refundable. In the event that a camper has to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, the camp will review refunds of tuition minus the non-refundable deposit on a case by case basis.

Medical

Certified College Athletic Trainers will be available at all times campers are engaged in athletic activities and will be on call at all other times. There will be camp counselors and staff in the dorms at all times. The American University Student Health facility is also available on campus. Each Extended Day and Residential Camper will be required to complete a Medical Release Form signed by their parent prior to participation. Our training staff will be present at check in to answer any questions regarding medication or other medical issues. Any medications that a camper is authorized to take by their parent whether prescription or over the counter, must be disclosed on the Medical Release form and in its original container.

Note: In case of lost luggage, if traveling by air, campers should pack a carry on bag. At a minimum, camper should carry on medications, toiletry items, money, soccer shoes, soccer ball, shin guards, shorts, t-shirts and other essential items. There is a camp store that campers can buy snacks, drinks, and pizza.
